I am looking forward to giving a lecture at the 34th Summer School on Image Processing in Timișoara, Romania.

PIPPI 2026 has been accepted as a satellite event at MICCAI2026. Twitter: @PIPPIworkshop

Join us at the Pint of Science Festival on 18th of May 2026 in Vienna!

I am happy for receiving the Best Lecture Award according to students voting at the 33rd Summer School of Image Processing (SSIP) in July 2025 in Szeged, Hungary.

Short CV
Roxane Licandro graduated the master study of medical informatics at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) with distinction in January 2016. She worked eight years as assistant of the creative director at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien and subsequently continued her working experiences as software developer at AGFA Healthcare. During her studies at TU Wien she was employed as study assistant and teaching assistant at the Pattern Recognition and Image Processing (PRIP) Group, and as teaching assistant at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms and at the Computer Vision Lab (CVL) at TU Wien.  She graduated her PhD study at TU Wien in cooperation with the Computational Imaging Research (CIR) Lab at the Medical University of Vienna in March 2021 and has worked as an university assistant at CVL until October 2021. Subsequently, she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, US at the Laboratory for Computational Neuroimaging. Since 2023 she is a faculty member and head of the Early Life Image Analysis (ELIA) Group at CIR Lab at the Medical University of Vienna, external lecturer at  University of Vienna and since 2025 university lecturer at TU Wien at CVL.
